Why this Blog exists

Performance marketing is something I'm learning by actually doing it, not just by reading about it. This Blog is where I document that process.

I started learning digital marketing through structured training, but I wanted to go beyond courses and tutorials. I wanted to understand what happens when I actually create a campaign, choose a target audience, set a budget, build a landing page, look at the numbers and then discover that something doesn't work exactly the way I expected.

That is what most of the content here is about.

I've worked on independent practice projects using Google Ads and Meta Ads, experimented with lead generation, worked with GA4 and Google Tag Manager, built landing pages, looked at campaign data and dealt with some of the less exciting but very important parts of marketing, such as conversion tracking.

I also use AI while learning and building. It helps me research unfamiliar topics, organize ideas, troubleshoot problems, work on copy and build parts of my website. But I don't treat AI as a replacement for campaign data or human judgement.

The results and observations documented here come from my own practice projects. They aren't presented as professional client case studies or industry benchmarks.

What you'll find here

  • Google Ads

I document my first Google Search practice campaign, including how I approached the campaign, what happened after launch, the numbers I saw and one of the biggest lessons I learned: getting a conversion number in an advertising dashboard doesn't automatically mean you have verified leads.

  • Meta Ads

I also document my independent Meta Ads lead-generation experiment for a Gurugram rental project, including the audience setup, budget, creatives, lead results and what I noticed about creative delivery.

  • Analytics & Tracking

Campaigns are only as useful as the data we can trust. My experiments have also given me practical reasons to learn GA4, Google Tag Manager and conversion tracking rather than treating analytics as something separate from advertising.

  • AI + Marketing

AI has become part of the way I learn. I use it as a practical assistant rather than presenting it as the reason behind my campaign results.

  • Lessons From Practice

Some of the most useful things I've learned didn't come from the campaigns going exactly as planned. They came from seeing something unexpected and having to investigate it.

I'm still learning

I don't consider these campaigns the final version of my performance marketing journey. They're the beginning.

As I run more experiments, learn more about Google Ads and Meta Ads, improve my tracking and become more comfortable with analytics, I'll add those experiences here.

The idea is simple: do the work, look at the data, question what doesn't make sense, learn from it, then try again. That's what this Blog is here to document.
